In Sanskrit, the word Sangha means “to bring together” or “that which holds together” and is the general word for “community”. It can refer to a flock of crows or a herd of deer. It can also be extended to encompass all sentient beings – all inhabitants of a unified ecosystem – as members of a single Sangha. Historically, in ancient India, members would gather on the full and/or new moon, to acknowledge their deep interconnectedness with each other and all of life. Currently, the gift of technology enables us to connect with our human family scattered all across the world! All are welcomed and encouraged to join, whether you have previous yoga experience or not. The Sangha is a conversation, not a posture practice.

The great Yogi, Sri Adi Shankara said “Sangha will lead you to liberation” - a pretty profound statement! Sangha is your most powerful tool for transformation. divine intelligence and truth is transmitted in this space. It has even been said that the next avatar (i.e: Buddha or Jesus) won’t come to Earth as an individual, but will emerge as a Sangha.

 

This event is for an inclusive group that is both open-minded and open-hearted. We are very much able to connect our hearts through the quantum field, even at a physical distance. To surround ourselves with people who are devoted to Love, reflects back to us, like a mirror, the truth of our existence.
